A chemical change in the brain? ‘is’ NOT depression, it is simply correlated therewith. A lack of philosophy here.

    Misuse of the apostrophe.?

The graphics in the presentations are interesting. Having suffered with depression all my life & getting treatment and paying close attention to it now for almost 10 years, the most interesting characterization here is that a depressive episode can be like a “switch”. I have used that word multiply times when? I experience the moment when the neurotransmitters just stop or suddenly start up again. It IS exactly that, if you pay close attention. It is startling. And for me, I suddenly know that

@RedDwarffs I was also MAJORLY depressed 2 years ago. One night, I couldn’t take it anymore, so I went to a? psycologist and was put on Lexapro (with Trazodone to help sleep), and then Zoloft, and finally….Effexor XR. I suffered for 3 months in the same nightmare as I’m sure you’re going through. After a couple weeks of Effexor XR, I was finally able to breath again. 3 months after that, I took myself off the pills completely. You CAN and WILL be happy again. Go see a doc NOW!

I don’t know what to believe about depression. it seems that everyone seems to have an opinion, and i? just want to know the facts! what is going on with me? how can i fix this nightmare?

  • Andreterragt says:

Talking? and walking is also caused by a chemical process in the brain. This is an oversimplification. Anti-depressives DOESN’T work because the main causes of the problem are complex and cannot be solved by chemistry. We know almost nothing about the brain and psychologic disorders.

made to look inside myself :O i bet the 1st being never seen how? aware a creature can be of its own self conscious mind :D we are (inter alien beings) with the eye of all creatures, top of the dna chain me! bless the ancient world for creation and beauty :)

  • chriswilliamstool says:

@AkathisiA101 that sounds true enough, its a anxious transition, mixed senses that create paranoia, leading to over anylising and dispositioning thoughts from feelings making the self conscious mind transition itself with no harm from nightmares, because me+films=dispositioning to transition into a spiritual being of pure energy, thoughts are projected and are not? real, its metamorphosis, and is going to be like a lsd or mdma trip from space, the 6th sence is the third eye & connects body & mind

  • scramuel says:

shut the fuck up, this man broke? it down son !

  • FarhadTv says:

I think this dude doesn’t know the reason for depression. He is wrong! Cells do not calculate in their head (they don’t have heads), but the receptor binding sites are blocked by antagonists as well as desensitization due to continuous excitation by neurotransmitters. I mentioned? two reasons, but experts can accommodate more. Thank you

  • AkathisiA101 says:

Psychiatric disorders are not medical diseases. There are no lab tests, brain scans, X-rays or chemical imbalance tests that can verify any mental disorder is a physical condition. This is not to say that people do not get depressed, or that people can’t experience emotional or mental duress, but? psychiatry has repackaged these emotions and behaviors as “disease” in order to sell drugs.

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) is a mental health watchdog,? responsible for helping to enact more than 150? laws protecting us from abusive or coercive practices.

CCHR has fought to restore human rights to mental health, including, full informed consent regarding the medical legitimacy of psychiatric diagnosis, risks of psychiatric treatments,

and the RIGHT TO REFUSE TREATMENT. I was a victim of psychiatry 4 many years and agree 100% with cchr.org < Know your rights
